Exercise Instructions
Here are some general
guidelines:
- The problem sets are to be
done on your own.
- Formatting:
- Typing your responses
would be appreciated, but if formatting the diagrams and equations will
mean an unreasonable amount of time commitment on your part, this is not
necessary (although, keep in mind that this is a useful skill to learn).
If you do not type your answers, I expect them to be legible and very
neat; remember, anything that is illegible is, by definition, unable to
be marked.
- Use ONLY ONE SIDE OF
PAPER.
- MAKE YOUR DIAGRAMS BIG
ENOUGH that I'm not hunting around with a magnifying glass trying to
find points for you.
- STAPLE your pages, if
necessary.
- Use diagrams and refer to
them, as appropriate. Make sure you label and explain them appropriately.
- When possible, I would like
you to use complete sentences and good writing to explain your answers.
- As in the "homework
guidelines" suggested on the Purplemath© site, I would like to see clearly
how you derived your answers.
- Please be sure to
distinguish between “price” of a good and the “costs” of producing it (i.e.,
price¹cost).
Let me know if you have
any questions.
